Rainbow Roots1

Stylist Patrick McDougall from Rainbow Room International created a ‘Rainbow Root’ look on his blogger client Ayden Millar.

Rainbow Roots2

Her new ‘rainbow roots’ has earned her a place as one of the 10 finalists in the SME Insurance ‘Create The Look’ competition. She is in the running to be crowned the UK’s top up and coming stylist. The Glasgow-based blogger who runs ‘Little Blog of Horrors’ collaborated with Patrick (Paddy) McDougall from Rainbow Room International, George Square salon.

Ayden teamed up with Paddy, to create the eye-catching multicoloured roots which secured her place on the shortlist. Ayden said: “As a lifestyle blogger I get to work with creative people in Glasgow and I just love what Paddy does. He’s been my hairdresser for about six months and has done fantastic things for my hair – when he did my rainbow roots I decided his work had to go viral!”

Paddy also commented; “Applying colour directly to the root means you can maintain your normal shade, with subtle pops of colour peeking through at the crown. With the rainbow roots trend booming across social media I was delighted when Ayden decided to go bold and rock this trend and I am thrilled her new look has won her a place as a finalist for the ‘Create The Look’ competition.”
